He continued "we've been saying Wednesday is like a cup final against South Africa and all the players know what's at stake".

"The mood is great, we know the expectations of our fans and we must give everything on the pitch to get the win".

It will be recalled that the Super Eagles coach had initially refused to call up the prolific striker who as scored over 100 goals in spain to the super eagles. It took the intervention of the Nigerain football loving public to get him called up.

The Super eagle will lock horns with their South African counterparts at the newly opened Uyo stadium on Wednesday evening.
